It is common practice to list people who have worked on the series, not necessarily a particular release. This is especially true for SotO since it reused so many assets. Every game that my studio has released includes every person who has worked on the assets, even if they were currently on a different project.

There is no chance they will do this; their entire release schedule is designed around using as few Anet resources as possible while still delivering a minimum viable product. No, they couldn't. Heart of Thorns was done by the entire studio; these season packs are probably done by fewer than 15 people. The key for me to become okay with this new content cadence was to adjust my expectations, not to have Anet revert back to their previous state, which wasn't going to happen.

The guild system was easy to extend to individual players. In fact, it's a wonder it took so long for them to get around to this given the gem shop opportunities. Perhaps we can hope for a little NPC interaction at some point in the future to make them seem more alive. In this next season pack, don't expect anything beyond what you currently do with guild halls (i.e. port/gather/decorate), but in theory the system could be expanded on and benefit both guilds and players alike which is a good thing. Edit : I was just think of something, is there going to be any upgrade to the home instance portal device? Have they thought of this?

Yeah, so having seen it all now, I have to say that these can no longer be called expansions in the traditional sense. These are absolutely living world seasons, and they should just own that. Sell them for cash or make them purchasable with gems, but don't market them as expansions—it just feels disingenuous.

Only tangentially related to the OP, but I feel like the #1 goal for Anet in this expansion was to ensure they could release one update per quarter, no excuses. If the content is perceived as lacking, they'll work on it, but that is secondary to maintaining their release schedule.

Seriously though, this is blocking people. How can we trust them to be timely in the future with fixes and progression blockers when something so trivial is shrugged off for over a week as unimportant. I get there are bugs, and then there is apathy.

While the complaint seems trivial, it's not a bad suggestion. I mean, why not drain 200g per out of the economy with a bunch if icons? Seems pretty easy for them to do. We all get to choose the mascot we like as our tag.

Long time player here, but I never understood why sometimes when in squad (tagging or not) there will be a small popup that shows when someone tries to join allowing me to cancel it. Why does it show, and why only sometimes? Thanks!

I'm with you, I'd prefer wallet but material storage is okay too. It makes no sense that they weren't in there from the beginning. We'll chalk this one up to the 'oh yeah, forgot about those', right alongside forgetting about the Legendary Runes. Do you ever get the sense that SoTo was made by people that are new to Anet or haven't played GW2 very much?

Core Tyria felt much bigger and expansive to me compared to HoT, and I ended up quitting after about a month of playing it, despite having invested around $1k into the game since its release. Even the thought of wasting the money couldn't compel me to continue with that expansion at the time. Today, I find enjoyment in the metas, probably because they keep the game feeling alive and active. I'll engage in map completion when necessary for legendaries. However, I believe HoT suffered from poor balancing, which led to the departure of certain player groups. To illustrate this point, last year my wife started playing the game for the first time. She finished the core story and then moved on to HoT, only to quit shortly thereafter.
